While attending Parsons School of Design, I spent my last two years growing an interest in furthering my skills as an illustrator and animator. Not only did I dedicate myself to learning a new tool—After Effects—but I also pushed myself to improve in this medium by focusing my time and skills to create an animated short film for my graduation thesis.
For my final thesis at Parsons I decided to complete a short animated film. Frames were drawn in Photoshop and the short film was put together in After Effects. Animation is a mix of cell animation and 2D animation using the puppet tool in AE.
A simple story of a little boy making a friend.
My first animated short. Drawn in Photoshop and animated in After Effects. Inspiration was taken from the artistic style of Tim Burton as well as "The Three Brothers" animated piece featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
